The world is moving at pace. There is no doubt that we all need to act on a range of new opportunities and threats thrown up by the changing technological, social, environmental, economic and political landscape. Huge pressure now exists to get off our backsides and actually combat challenges like climate change and opportunities like Generative AI on top of an already fast paced data driven revolution in how organisations are run. Changing attitudes to how and where we work post pandemic as well as a growing Millennial and Gen Z workforce mean we all need to look differently at what it means to be outcomes led rather than 9 to 5 in an office environment. Meanwhile things are tight. Budgets from Downing Street to the average household are strapped and businesses are fighting hard for what money there is that is on the table. Up and down the country local councils and BIDS (Business Improvement Districts) seek ways to bring life back to our high streets. Things have changed. Life has changed. It can be argued that never before has there been such a melting pot of need, opportunity and threat in relation to organisational change and innovation. Let us help you.
Let’s be honest, the road from stout agreement to actual change is really hard. The reason can be seen as twofold; first the demands of everyday business means we are pulled in different directions just trying to make ends meet for our organisations and our people. Most change initiatives never see the light of day.
The second is taking the time to cut through the clutter, unify and agree at board level what to tackle now, what to address later and what to ignore. With so much change around us it is sometimes difficult to force ourselves to step back and see the wood for the trees.
This is where Room 42 can come in. We are in essence a facilitation company using design thinking programmes to help companies solve problems, adopt change and innovate in new ways. It is often so difficult to break the inertia, get the time, get the buy-in for change or just come up with new ideas under the status quo and noise of everyday life. Outside facilitation is often the key and this is where we operate. We look to be the catalyst to break the norm, actively facilitate new strategy and ideas and get people to the action quicker, be more united in direction and with greater advocacy from within. Think of us as a crack team who you can call on to get things moving where you spot a need.
